Remu Place House
RECLAD
This house, which had numerous weathertightness issues, is located in Greenhithe overlooking the upper harbour.
Constructed in the 1990s, it was originally clad in a combination of Monotech plaster system and direct-fixed cedar weatherboards.
The house had a complex roof structure incorporating profiled metal and membrane roofing. There was also a leaking membrane deck.
We replaced the existing cladding with bevel-back timber weatherboards, added new windows and balustrades, rebuilt the deck and simplified the roof from.
Later, I was engaged by the same client to design a new four-vehicle garage on the site.
