Shoal Bay House
RENOVATIONS

This house was a small and run-down straight-front villa constructed around 1900.

I initially worked with these clients on another villa renovation at their previous home. When they purchased this house, they contacted me again and asked me to design something very similar.

This time, my clients wanted to add a basement underneath the house for additional space, so we moved the house temporarily to the rear of the site and constructed a full basement.

Once the basement was complete, the house was moved back into place and we completely reconfigured the internal layout.

A lean-to addition was built at the rear of the house, creating an open-plan living space which flowed smoothly into their garden. A studio and swimming pool were added near the rear boundary.
